Accreditation & NCAA Eligibility

Miami-Dade Online Academy is an accredited school with the AdvancED. The U.S. Department of Education partner with AdvancED to provide full-scale accreditation services and school improvement support across the entire country. In 2006 AdvancED was created through a merger of the PreK-12 divisions of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI and expanded through the addition of the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) in 2011. On June 30, 2011, our school was evaluated and accredited by this prestigious organization.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is not an academic institution that accredits public schools academically. NCAA Invests in eligible high school students athletes financially by awarding college scholarships. In order for a high school student to be eligible for the NCAA scholarships, the high school must be NCAA approved. As of April 13, 2016, our school’s NCAA status was updated. We currently use the best online provider that is not approved by NCAA.
